Security and privacy

Your letters, files and account data are stored in data centres in Frankfurt, Germany.

The web app runs on a server in Germany.

Connections between the app and our servers are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).

Stored data is encrypted (AES-256). Especially sensitive details such as your IBAN or tax ID are encrypted a second time, and every time one is shown it is logged.

Only you and the people you invite to your household can see your letters.

Items in your vault are visible only to you, not even to your household.

Our admin tools show only counts and technical status – no letter contents, senders or bank transactions. Every admin access is logged.

To read and explain a letter, we send its photo or PDF and its text to an external AI service. Questions you ask the assistant are processed there too.

Every deadline and amount shows the sentence from your letter it comes from. If a deadline isn't in the letter, the app won't invent one.

If a letter looks like a scam, the app warns you – and doesn't suggest a reply.

Letters containing health data are only saved and shown once you have given explicit consent (Art. 9 GDPR). If you withdraw consent, those letters are deleted.

MeinHelfer never sends or pays anything without your approval. You send reply drafts yourself.

You can download your data as a file at any time and delete your account yourself. After a 14-day grace period, everything is erased.

Delete a letter and its file is removed from our storage too.

No ads and no ad trackers. We don't sell your data.

This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking. The app uses only technically necessary cookies (sign-in, language).
